Marketa Nickle is a fully licensed Realtor and the co-owner of the United Country franchise in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Originally from the Czech Republic, she moved to Florida after high school and earned a Master’s degree in Accounting from Stetson University.
After years in the fast-paced accounting world as a CPA, Marketa sought a slower, healthier lifestyle. In 2017, she and her husband, Ryan, relocated to the islands of Bocas del Toro, where they later welcomed their son Kai, a proud native-born Panamanian.
Since moving to Bocas, Marketa and Ryan have explored the region extensively, gaining firsthand insight into island living and the diverse communities across the islands and mainland — experience that lets them guide clients with confidence and care through significant life transitions.
Passionate advocates for off-grid and environmentally conscious living, they enjoy helping others trade urban pollution for a simpler, healthier lifestyle in Panama. Marketa’s background in small business management and accounting also keeps the office running efficiently and the team focused on exceptional client service.

Ryan Markley and his wife, Marketa, are the owners of the United Country Real Estate franchises in Medellín, Colombia and Bocas del Toro, Panama. Together, they share a deep passion for the expatriate lifestyle and helping others successfully navigate international relocation and investment opportunities.
Born in Italy and raised in the United States, Ryan began investing in rental properties at the age of 22. He proudly credits his education to the “school of life,” gaining hands-on experience through more than 25 years of buying, selling, investing, and managing construction projects.
With multiple residencies in several countries, Ryan brings a truly international perspective to real estate and investment. His interests extend beyond property transactions to include the full expat process and lifestyle, allowing him to guide clients with both professional insight and personal experience.
Ryan and his family now live full-time in Panama with their young son, and he is always happy to connect with clients and share his perspective as an international investor and expat.

Originally from Southern California, Abram Akradi moved to Bocas del Toro, Panama in 2018 with his wife and son. An avid surfer, scuba diver, and lover of all things water, Abram instantly found his paradise in Bocas.
Since 2021 he has been the lead agent for United Country – Panama Paradise, consistently surpassing peers in the field. He has averaged over 20 property sales per year, with annual transactions reaching up to $5 million, and his understanding of the local market, property types, and regulations continually exceeds client expectations.
With more than a decade of experience in small business management, Abram brings professionalism, negotiation expertise, and strategic thinking to every deal. As a professional aerial photographer, he has also worked throughout Panama and Costa Rica, giving clients a unique visual edge when marketing their properties.

Pierre is originally from France and has lived in the Caribbean for over 20 years, bringing a strong international background and deep local knowledge to his relocation and real estate work. After living and traveling all over the world, Pierre and his family arrived in Bocas del Toro by sailboat, fell in love with the region, and made it their permanent home.
With more than 20 years in the marine and boating industry, Pierre managed charter and bareboat companies throughout the Caribbean — experience that sharpened his customer service, logistics, and client-support skills, all key when assisting families with relocation and property transitions.
For the past nine years he has lived off-grid on an outer island, giving him a practical understanding of local infrastructure, sustainable living, and life in the remote parts of the archipelago.
A passionate nature lover, Pierre enjoys freediving, spearfishing, sailing, and surfing. Fluent in French, Spanish and English, he communicates easily with an international clientele and provides personalized, attentive support throughout the process.
